International Iron Working Festival in Stara Fužina, 7th-12th June 2016, Bohinj, Slovenia

The international teams, admirers and researchers of ancient iron smelting from Europe gave  Bohinj on the map of Iron Age bloomery where it should have been from 1850.

The Bohinj Event was organized on the place of the oldest Ironworks (fužina) in Slovenia. The English team from Shropshire, where the same Event was organized in 2012, stimulated this meeting. The teams from England, the Netherlands, Germany, France and also domestic one, from Bohinj, demonstrated prehistoric skills.

Below there are some photos of the eventful place with smelting furnaces built from each team. On the next side there are photos of process technology.
